Asset List

The Asset List area displays the assets of the currently selected group. A single horizontal row represents one asset. Column headers provide the title of the asset fields displayed in each column. Use the horizontal scroll bar to view all field information.

By default, the Asset List displays all the general information fields for assets. You can add or remove fields, including book fields, using the Customize Asset List window. Additionally, you can show totals for numeric fields. With My Views you can save multiple versions of these customizations for future use and include the numeric total in the saved view.

Items in the Asset List area are:

Item Notes
Group This field provides easy access to the complete list of available asset groups. An asset group is a group of assets that you design for specific purposes such as running reports, calculating depreciation, and performing depreciation projections. The Asset List displays only the assets contained in the currently selected group.
Save Selections

Create a group quickly by selecting assets. Select the assets in the Asset List that you want to save as a group, and then select this icon.
Find

Use this icon to find one or more assets in the current group based on search criteria that you specify.
Replace

Use this icon to replace data in one or more assets in the current group.
Image Manager

Access the Image Manager window to view, link, and manage images and PDF files associated with assets.
Assets in Group This field displays the number of assets in the current group.
*<Book name> Book If you have added one or more columns to your Asset List using Customize Asset List that contain book field information, the book name displays above the Asset List. Any column with an asterisk indicates a field with information from the selected book.
My Views Use this icon to access the My Views window to add, apply, or manage saved customized asset list views.
[Asset Detail] Select this button to go to Asset Detail view for a selected asset.
[Print Asset List] Select this button to send the list of assets in the current group to the printer.
[Export to Excel] Select this button to export the list of assets in the current group to a file that can be opened in Microsoft Excel.
Row Height Slider Use this slider to increase/decrease the row height of the Asset List. Check the "Include Font Size" box to adjust the text in each row based on the row height setting.
∑ Enable Asset List totals Select this checkbox to display a footer that can show totals for numeric columns. For more information, see Totaling Numeric Columns in the Asset List.
