Totaling Numeric Columns in the Asset List

Totals can be displayed for numeric columns in the Asset List.  The summable fields are:

General Information Fields	Book Fields
Quantity	168 Allowance
Replacement Value	Acquisition Value
RV Override	Depreciation This Run
	Current YTD
	Current Accum
	Net Book Value

 

To display totals

1. Check the Σ Enable Asset List totals checkbox. A blue footer appears at the bottom of the Asset List.

2. Do any of the following:

   • Double-click in the footer below a numeric column,

   • Right-click in the footer below a numeric column and select Σ Sum, or

   • Open the Customize Asset List window, select a summable field and select Σ Sum the selected fields when Asset List totals are enabled.

    

To remove totals

Do any of the following:

• Right-click in the footer and select None for each column with totals,

• Open the Customize Asset List window,

  • select the field(s) in the Selected Fields list box and deselect the ∑ Sum the selected field, or

  • select Restore Defaults to remove all book fields from the Selected Fields list box.

Tips:
To temporarily hide the footer and totals, deselect the Σ Enable Asset List totals. When Σ Enable Asset Totals is reselected, the Asset List will refresh, and totals will display.
The Asset List can take longer to appear when totals are calculated for very large groups of assets. You can temporarily hide the footer to improve performance.
