Edit Organization Window
Follow the guidelines provided below to complete the Edit Organization window.
The Edit Organization window is divided into the following sections:
- Organization information at the top
- Setup information
- Book Defaults, Short Years, Book Overrides, Contact Information, and Notes tabs in the middle
- Database information at the bottom
Items in this window
| Item | Notes |

| Name (Required Field) | This field displays the organization name (up to 32 characters). This name appears in the title bar of windows and reports. You can change the organization name, if desired. |
| Start Date (Required Field) | Indicate the start date of your organization. The application displays the date in Note: If you have entered assets in an organization, changing the Start Date affects your short years, which in turn may affect depreciation calculations. You may need to reset depreciation to the beginning date and recalculate depreciation for all three books. If you change the Start Date, the system displays a warning message. Select the Yes button to change the Start Date; otherwise, select the No button. |
| Starting System Number | This protected field indicates the System Number assigned to the first asset. This field is only available until the first asset is entered in a new organization. |
| Transfer By | Select the general information field you want to use to conduct transfers of your assets. For instance, the most common type of transfer is by location. If you want to conduct transfers based on location, select the Location field here. You can only conduct transfers by the field selected in the organization setup. If you need to conduct a transfer by another field at a later date, you can re-enter the organization setup and change this field. |
| Database | This field indicates the database in which the organization is stored. |

Select this button to enter or modify entries in the Sage Intacct Setup window. Options include posting journal entries in Sage Intacct or integrating with the Sage Intacct Accounts Payable (AP) and Purchasing (PO) modules to create assets. This button only appears if the Sage Intacct Posting Link has been selected as the Favorite Link. |
| [Copy Setup] | Select this button to display a window that allows you to copy the organization setup information from another organization to this organization. |
