Book Defaults Tab
Follow the guidelines provided below to complete the Book Defaults tab of the New Organization window or Edit Organization window.
The application can keep as many as three depreciation books for each organization.
The fields on the Book Defaults tab are arranged in columns and rows. One field is duplicated across a row and corresponds to the book listed at the top of each column. The information you enter in the Book Defaults tab affects the book information fields you access when adding a new asset.
Items on this tab

| Open Book | The decision whether to use a specific book. |
| Book Title | The ability to change the name of Budgetary book 1 or 2. |
| Fiscal Year End | The last month of the accounting cycle for each book. For information about this field when a short year has been entered, see Short Years Example. |
| Default Method | The depreciation method that is used as the default method in the Budgetary books. |
| Enable Begin Fields | The decision whether to allow the entry or edit of beginning depreciation amounts. |
| Calendar Used | The name of the calendar used by each book. |
