Setting the Default Folder for File Creation

You can specify a default folder for files created by the application. After you specify the folder, it becomes the default folder for the following activities:

• exporting data to a file
• saving export field map files
• importing files
• saving import field map files
• backing up companies
• restoring backed-up companies

To specify the default folder for file creation

1. Select File/Preferences from the menu bar. The system displays the Preferences window.
2. Select the Browse button to select the default folder. After you select the folder, the directory path to the folder appears in the Default Path for File Creation field.
3. Select OK to close the Preferences window.
