Asset Basis Report

Purpose

For each asset, the Asset Basis report shows how the system calculated the depreciable basis used in the asset's last depreciation run. If you disposed of the asset, the report also shows how the system calculated the adjusted basis used in the gain or loss calculation.

Tip: To be certain that figures are final for disposed assets before you run the Asset Basis report, first calculate depreciation at least through the latest disposal date that might appear on the Asset Basis report. Although the system calculates depreciation on disposal, if depreciation is calculated through an earlier date, the system will have overwritten the depreciation balances before you run the Asset Basis report.
