New Database Window

Follow the guidelines provided below to complete the fields on the New Database window. A folder can contain two or more databases.

Items in this window

Item	Notes
Database Name	Use this field to enter a name for the database you are creating. This is the name that appears in the Database field of other windows in the application.
Database File Name	Use this field to enter the file name for the database you are creating. This is the name of the file as it appears in the Windows Explorer software. You do not need to enter a file extension because the application automatically adds a BDB extension to the file name.
Database Location	This field displays the folder where you want to store the database. (Long file names for folder names are supported by the application.)
[Browse]	Select this button to select the folder. Note: Each database name in the Sage Fixed Assets system must be unique. You cannot enter a database name that already exists in the Database List Manager.
