Bulk Edit - Effective Date Window
This window allows an effective date option to be selected with an option to enter specific dates for each of the two choices. Follow the guidelines provided below to complete the Bulk Edit – Effective Date.

| Placed-in-Service Date | Select this option to select the Placed-in-Service Date as the effective date for the Bulk Edit. |
| Retain Begin Info | Check this box to retain the Beginning Date, Beginning YTD and Beginning Accum values for individual assets, if desired. If an asset does not have a Beginning Date, the change will be made as of the Placed-in-Service date. |
| Current Thru Date | Select this option to select the Current Thru Date as the effective date for the Bulk Edit. |
| What will happen | Describes the depreciation consequences for each selection. |
| Only Change Assets | Check this box to enable the date control field and allow a date to be entered. |
| Date Field | Enter a date to filter the assets further based on the date selection above. |
Select on each option below for a summary of the depreciation consequences:
Depreciation is recalculated from the assets’ Placed-in-Service Date through the Current Through Date, if it exists, using the new attributes. Any existing Beginning, Period Close and Current Thru Date information will be cleared.
Depreciation will be recalculated from the assets’ Beginning Date, if present, through the Current Through Date using the new attributes. If the asset does not have Beginning information, the calculations will be done as described above for the Placed-in-Service date. Any existing Period Close information will be cleared.
Beginning depreciation information (Beginning Date, Beginning YTD, Beginning Accum) will be set to the Current Though Date, Current YTD and Current Accum values. Period Close amounts prior to the Current Through Date will be reset to zero. When depreciation is calculated for a future period, it will use the new attributes and the Beginning YTD and Accum values as of the Beginning Date. The asset will not appear on date specific reports, such as the Depreciation Expense Report, before the Beginning Date.
