Customizing a Standard Report
There may be times when you want to make changes to one of the standard reports, but you do not want to take the time to recreate the report using the Sage Fixed Assets—Reporting program. For example, you may want to add a new column to the report, or you may want to edit one of the column headers.
You can customize a report from within the application. You get all of the report logic designed by the Sage Fixed Assets experts, but you are able to modify the report format to fit your company’s needs.
You can make the following changes to an existing standard report:
- Add and remove columns
- Change the text in column headers
- Change the order of columns
- Change the column widths
- Change the space between columns
- Change the left and right margin spacing
- Change the text in headers and footers
- Save multiple versions of the same report

To customize a report
- Select Reports/Reporting/Customize Reports from the menu bar. The system displays the Report Customization window.
Tip: You can also access the Report Customization window by selecting the Customize Report button on the Report Definition window.
- From the Report Name field, select the report that you want to customize.
Note: You can select either a standard report or a report that you have already customized. If you select a standard report, you must rename the report when you save your changes.
- Complete the Report Customization window.
- Do one of the following
- Select the Save As button if you are customizing a standard report, or you want to save your changes under a different report name. The system displays the Save As window. Enter a new name for the report, and then select the Save button.
- Select the Save Button if you are making changes to a customized report, and you do not want to change the name of the report. The system saves the changes that you made to the report.
- Select the Close button to exit from the Report Customization window.
If you have not
- Set the orientation (portrait or landscape)
- Set the currency rounding option
- Change the sort order
- Set the page break options
