Exporting a Report
When you run a report, you can export the report in a variety of formats. These formats include PDF for easy report distribution, XML (eXtensible Markup Language) for easy analysis of your data in other financial packages, and XLS/XLSX format, that retains more of the original report columns and layout for convenient use in a spreadsheet.
To export a report
- Make sure you select the Window check box in the Send To field on the Report Definition window.
- Select the Run Report button. The system displays the report in the report viewer.
- Select the Export Report button on the report viewer. The system displays the Export window.
- Select the desired format (for example, PDF or XLSX).
- Select the desired destination (for example, an application or a disk file).
- Select OK.
If you choose to send the report to a disk file, the system displays the Choose Export File window, which allows you to select a folder in which to save the file. If you choose to send the report to an application, the system opens the appropriate program and displays the report.
Note: The Depreciation Expense Report can be exported directly to Excel by selecting the Export to Excel checkbox at the bottom of the Report Definition dialog for the Depreciation Expense report.
