Custom Export Helper Overview

The Custom Export Helper is a series of windows that assist you in exporting asset information from the program. The Custom Export Helper guides you through the process of exporting asset data to an ASCII Comma Separated Value (CSV) file. A wide range of programs, including popular spreadsheet programs, can read this file format.

In addition to creating the CSV file, you also create an export field map file during the export process. The field map file lists the names of the asset fields that you are exporting. You can reuse the field map in subsequent exports. By using an existing field map, you don’t have to select the fields you want to export each time you perform the export.
