Viewing/Entry Rights to Fields

Following are the available options when customizing fields:

Allow Entry	Select this option if you want to allow, but not require, users to enter data in the field. Users can view the data.
Require Entry	Select this option if you want to require users who are creating an asset to enter data in the field before saving the asset. Users can view the data.
View Only	Select this option if you want to allow users to view the default data, but not enter data in the field.
Hide	Select this option if you want to hide the entire field in both the Asset List and Asset Detail. This option is useful when you do not want to use a particular field. If you decide not to hide the field at a later time, select a different View option and the field will be available to you.
