Salvage Value Field

Use this book information field in Asset Detail to enter the estimated salvage value of the asset. Salvage value is an estimate of an asset's worth at the end of its useful life. Several depreciation methods use the salvage value in determining depreciation amounts. In such cases, the system generally subtracts the salvage value from the acquired value when calculating the depreciable basis.
