Partial Disposal Asset Conditions

The system creates these asset conditions when you partially dispose of an asset:

• The original asset retains its current System Number and extension. The system inactivates the asset so it can be replaced by the remaining asset. The system assigns an Activity Code to the asset based on the details of the transaction.

• The system creates a disposed asset using the original System Number, but gives it a new extension and changes its Activity code to Disposed. You cannot view this asset in the Asset List. To view this asset, you must go to Asset Detail view of the core System Number, select the Transactions tab, and select the View Transaction button.

• The system creates a remaining asset using the original System Number, but gives it a new extension. This remaining asset replaces the original asset in the Asset List. It retains all field attributes of the original asset except for Acquisition Value, which the system decreases by the amount that has been disposed.
