Asset ID Field

Use this general information field in Asset Detail to enter the number that your company has assigned to identify this asset. This number can be any number you've been using in the past to track this asset, up to 25 alphanumeric characters. You can assign the same Asset ID to more than one asset.

Note: Users of Sage Fixed Assets—Tracking must use unique Asset IDs for each asset if this number is used for the Asset Tag field.
