Enable Begin Fields

Use this field on the Book Defaults tab to specify whether you want the system to allow users to enter beginning depreciation amounts for assets. The system default allows users to enter beginning amounts in all books.

Note: After you have entered all assets previously maintained on another fixed asset system, you may want to disallow entry of beginning amounts in order to protect the data; these fields are not required for newly acquired assets.
