Acquired By Field

Use this book information field in Asset Detail to indicate how the asset was acquired.

Item	Notes
Purchase	Select this option button if you acquired the asset by purchasing it.
Exchange or Conversion	Select this option button if the asset was received in a like-kind exchange or an involuntary conversion. Selecting this option tells the system that the asset should not appear on any reports that are run prior to the date the asset was received in an exchange.
